Nitecore UMS2 USB charger - The UMS2 from Nitcore is an intelligent, QC 2.0 compatible USB charger from Nitecore. This universal charger has 2 shafts and can not only charge Li-Ion, Ni-MH, Ni-Cd and LiFePO4 batteries, but also the high-quality IMR batteries. 2 batteries can be charged simultaneously while both shafts can be controlled independently. Each shaft has a charging capacity of 2000 mA (QC Mode). If you use a single shaft, this is 3000 mA, which means that a 3500 mAh battery is charged for 80% within 55 minutes!
The charger automatically detects the battery level, selects the correct voltage and one of 3 charging modes for the batteries (except for the LiFePo4 and 3.8V Li-Ion). In addition to the automatic functions, the charger can also be set manually. There is a special charging program for the IMR batteries that monitors the entire charging process in order to extend the life of the batteries. The 'Restoration' mode allows the IMR/Li-Ion battery to be discharged first and then to continue charging.
The charger also recognizes damaged Li-ion batteries and will indicate this on the LCD screen. The charger also has a protection against incorrectly placed batteries. The available USB port allows you to connect the charger to various power sources. The energy-efficient LCD screen of the UMS2 shows information about, among other things, the charging current, charging voltage and charging time for each shaft. The housing is made of fire-retardant plastic and the intelligent temperature control ensures that the charger does not overheat to keep the charging process stable.
